M’Boundi and Kouakouala - Reducing Risk

The M’Boundi Oil Center consists of a GOSP including a separation train (three-phase separator, heater/ cooler, dehydration), a tank farm with 3 oil storage tanks; an oil pipeline, a water treatment plant and related water injection. Production is about 45000 BOPD (oil) and 2.9 MSCMD (gas). The Kouakouala plant gathers the production of four low pressure wells.

Oil is separated in a three-phase separator, heated, cooled and stored. It is then distributed through the oil pipeline.  Gas is flared.

The focus of this project is the development of detailed engineering of M’Boundi and Kouakouala facilities to overcome the existing hazards in the fields.

Enereco carried out the design of technical solutions for the safety of the two plants, including the fire fighting system, to comply with ENI standards. Also, a fixed system for gas detection as well as water collecting basins have been designed in order to prevent hydrocarbons from being released in the environment.
